Constitution Alive comes to Van

It’s no secret that our country is being attacked on every front and many of our leaders are so far off course they too seem to need a good reminder about the very basic principles our founding fathers put in place so many years ago.
If you are a patriot with a desire to renew American values, it’s time to get educated about our foundations, equipped with the knowledge and tools to restore those foundations, & inspired to take the necessary actions.
Want to learn more? Here’s your chance. At 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday September 14, former Texas State Representative Rick Green will provide the citizens of Van Zandt County a look at how the faith of our founding fathers and how their religious convictions influenced the drafting of our Declaration and Constitution. The event is free to the public and will be held in the Van ISD Auditorium located at 250 N. Pecan St.
For those who don’t know Rick Green, he now spends most of his time speaking across the country on these topics. He travels the nation speaking for David Barton’s WallBuilders organization and Rick and David co-host the national daily radio program, WallBuilders Live!
Rick is the author and executive producer of Constitution Alive, America’s most engaging and entertaining study of the U.S. Constitution. He is the founder and president of Patriot Academy, which trains young leaders in founding principles as they participate in mock legislative sessions held in state capitols across the nation. He and his wife, Kara, have four children.  Chasing American Legends, is a new TV show that follows their family as they investigate America’s heroes, legends and legacies.
The program he will be presenting in Van is titled Constitution Alive. This is a great opportunity for all of us to join the students, teachers and community of Van for an evening of studying, listening and learning about our US Declaration of Independence, US Constitution and other founding documents.
A $500 scholarship will be offered to a student in the Van ISD who attends and writes the winning essay on the US Constitution in today’s America.
